In Kinnaur district of  Himachal Pradesh, the Yulla Kanda 12 km long trek in the magical mountains of Himachal Pradesh offers  a pilgrimage that will leave you speechless.Here you will find the world's highest Krishna temple setup in the middle of a lake. The lake was formed by the Pandavas .The trek starts from the village of Yulla Kanda , located in the Rora valley and takes you high up to this incredible destination. The most striking feature of the temple is it's height above the sea level ie 12000 feet which makes the temple the world's highest temple. 

Another important point is people can come and offer prayers to Lord Krishna irrespective of their religion, caste or creed. The place welcomes everyone with open heart and a tight warm hug. 

The best time to experience the beauty of this place would be from mid-May to mid-November.

At Yulla Kanda The festival of Janmashtami is celebrated joyfully and has a great significance in the region. 

Annual fair is organized during Janmashtami at this Krishna temple .People came here from all over Kinnaur, and other parts of Himachal Pradesh each year during the time of Janmashtami. it is believed that the Bushah ruler, King Kehari Singh of Bushah estate, started the janmashtami festival. It is believed that swimming in the lake will clear  all the negativity of the mind and body .

According to local beliefs on the auspitious occation of janmashtami, if you take a traditional Kinnaur cap and try to floating it inverted in the lake along the temple, you can find out your destiny. As if the cap reaches the other side of the lake without sinking, then your wish is fulfilled and the coming time or year will brings you peace, and joy .If the cap does sink, then your year ahead might not be a good one. The devotees circle the lake to atone for their sins and wrong doings.

There are so many options when it comes to the routes and This location provides a stunning perspective of the Himalayan ranges and passes such as Buran Ghati, Listigarang Pass, and Kashang Pass.total trek length to reach Yulla Lake is of 12 km from the base village, which goes through the dense forest of oak, pine and deodar trees, then leading into the meadows, and finally towards the holy lake.
